It's been awhile
It has been awhile since my last post. The girls are doing well. We are enjoying spring break. We are having their 3 year old birthday party on Saturday so we should have plenty more to post!

Ho Ho and the North Pole
Last night, we tried to go to Lone Star for dinner. But the wait was 25 minutes and our two little darlings were already a little behind schedule. Our Lone Star is right next to the Bass Pro Shop. We always take the girls to Santa aka Ho Ho there. As soon as Stacy saw the fish on the sign, she started asking for Ho Ho. So I explained that he had to go back to the North Pole. She responded with "Pole? Ho Ho Pole?" Yes, Stacy...."Ho Ho Pole". This is one of the moments that you are glad that no one else was around to hear that part of the conversation. =)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We had an amazing Christmas this year. The girls got to help decorate the tree. They rearranged it on a daily basis. They tried opening presents early - so we learned to keep the underneath empty. They enjoyed making cookies and decorating cookies. Some cookies had so many decorations on them - that when you picked up the cookie, a pile of sprinkles fell off (with plenty to spare). We made ornaments this year. We really were able to do a lot more. It is amazing the difference a year makes.
The girls were able to open presents by themselves. Except once a present was open, they didn't want to go any further. So next year, we will be better prepared for that. My parents put presents in bags - Emma loved that! She could take presents out and didn't even worry about what she had grabbed. She was just trying to see how many bags she could empty.
The best gift of all is watching our girls grow and change.
We have had wonderful weather in November and December. We made it out to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens.
We have accomplished many great things this year. The girls are going to school, sleeping in toddler beds, beginning to clean up their toys, and speaking in sentences. (Although, we still have some twin dialect at times)
This year, we look forward to many more great adventures with the girls. We are hoping to have the girls fully potty trained, completely losing the binky, and to continue to learn new words and concepts. We feel very blessed and hope that you do too!
From out house to yours - May 2012 hold many wonderful and exciting adventures!

Paint!
My mom saw a TV show where they bought clear ornaments, put paint inside and then swirled the paint around. She really liked the way they turned out so we thought that we would try it with the girls. So we went to the craft store to buy our essentials. We are picking out paint colors- Stacy was insisting on pink. I put the paint in the back of the cart (craft store carts are not very big) and continued looking for colors. I turn around and Emma has gotten the paint out of the back of the cart, opened it, and is painting the cart and her hand pink. Just when I think I have things under control - along comes Emma with never ending surprises. Mom and I can't help but to laugh at the silly predicaments we find ourselves in.

Emma's Funny of the Day
Emma is not a very talkative child. But every once in awhile she surprises us.
Mom has given the girls yogurt covered raisins before. She found yogurt covered pineapple (I don't know why) and got some for the girls. They are obviously a little bigger than a raisin. Mom put one in Emma's hand. Emma looked at Mamaw, looked at her hand, looked back at Mamaw and said "A Rock???" That girl...she is too funny!
Needless to say, Emma never tried it.

Time to Catch Up!
We have had a very busy few months. The girls went on their very first hayride this year. Stacy is above and Emma is below.
We went to the Poquson Seafood Festival. The girls loved playing in the bounce houses. Their FAVORITE thing of all time is riding horses.
Also, the girls have started going to Mother's Day Out. They paint, color, sing, and have themed activities for each day. They are having a great time!
We went to pumpkin picking for the first time this year too! We went to Hunt Club Farm. The girls had a wonderful time. They have a petting zoo, bounce houses, horse back riding, and hayrides. Here the girls are with the goats. Who seem to be super hungry even though their are always people in the pen feeding them.
Here's Stacy and I on the hayride. She is eating and worried about her hair. Very Stacy!
Emma and I. But she is too worried about the brochure. She does love to read!
I forgot to take Halloween pictures. But we have had a great September and October. We are looking forward to a very thankful Thanksgiving!

Looking for any and all PT advice!!!
Let me start off by saying...that we have had a few nasty incidences that have pushed me to the PT point. It is time that we potty train. Emma is finally admitting when she is going potty in her diaper. Stacy had already gone in the potty once (but then she totally freaked out). Regardless, it is time. I have read Potty Training in 3-days and I am ready to get on board. But I still have silly questions. What do I do if they have to go at the same time? How did you get it out of the couch or carpet? How do you clean up accidents, get the child on the toilet, and keep the other child from playing in the accident???? I have lots of unanswered questions. Please feel free to give any and all advice...if it works, I promise to pass it on to other mommies!!! HELP ME! =)
